1.5 kilogram whole chicken 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon dried thyme ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon smoked paprika ¼ teaspoon onion powder ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper 1 tablespoon olive oil
Remove the chicken from its packaging and pat it dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, thyme, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, and black pepper.
Rub the olive oil all over the chicken, then evenly coat it with the spice mixture.
Place the chicken, breast-side down, in the air fryer basket. Cook at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes.
Flip the chicken and cook for another 20-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F) in the thickest part.
Transfer the chicken to a plate and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before carving and serving.
