  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder up to ½ tablespoon for a spicier blend - see notes
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Measure out all of your spices into a small mixing bowl and mix well to ensure they are all combined evenly.
  • Use the seasoning in your favourite recipe or transfer it to an airtight container or jar and store in the pantry, away from any potential moisture. For the best flavour, use within 6 months.

Notes

Yield: This recipe makes approximately 2 tablespoons of seasoning, which is enough to season 500 grams (1 pound) of beef mince.
Spice Level: This recipe calls for Australian-style chilli powder which is pure ground chilli's. Therefore, as written, this recipe produces a mild-medium spice level. For a spicier blend, increase the chilli powder to ½ tablespoon or add extra chilli flakes to taste.
