Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Learn the easiest way to make sweet potato fries that are nice and crispy on the outside but soft in the middle, have heaps of flavour and are super addictive. Serve these as a side with your favourite burger or simply enjoy on their own as a snack!

Ingredients

  • 650 grams sweet potato approx. 1 large sweet potato
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line two large baking trays with baking paper.
  • Peel the sweet potato and slice into long thin chips. Place in a bowl with the olive oil, smoked paprika, dried oregano, garlic powder, and salt and pepper. Toss well to coat the potatoes.
  • Place the chips on the baking tray making sure there is space between each so they cook evenly. Bake for 30-45 minutes until golden and crispy on the edges, turning them halfway through.
  • Season again with salt if needed, before serving immediately.
