As the year comes to a close, it’s always fun to look back over the past 12 months and reflect before charging head first into the new year. When it comes to a blog, this can be even more important as you need to look back and see what content was the most popular before making plans around what to publish more of next year.
Last year I decided to publish the top 10 recipes from the year and it was so much fun, I decided to do it again for 2019! This list is calculated by the number of pageviews on a post from January to now. It was really fun to see what recipes were the most popular, and this year looking back it was interesting to compare the top 10 from 2018 to 2019.
This year’s list features 6 return entrants and 4 newcomers. It’s so exciting for me to see old favourites return as well as new recipes rising to the top.
If you haven’t spent much time exploring my recipe archives, this list is a great place to start!
So here we go, counting down the top 10 recipes for 2019 from Eight Forest Lane.
10. Crispy Tofu and Zoodles with Peanut Sauce
A new entrant to this list scraping in at number 10 but with very good reason. Crispy, golden pieces of tofu covered in a creamy satay sauce – it is one of my favourite weeknight dinners. Get the recipe.
9. Coffee and Walnut Loaf Cake
I am so excited to see this cake make the list its first year! It’s a classic flavour combination and one of my favourite cakes of the year. Get the recipe.
8. Easy No-Bake Lamington Bars
Dropping down a few places from last year, these easy, healthy snacks still make the cut as a long time reader favourite. Get the recipe.
7. Lady Grey Cupcakes with Lavender Frosting
Last year’s number 2 entry. While this year it’s sitting at number 7, make no mistake these are still one of the best cupcake recipes on my site. Get the recipe.

Slowly moving up the list and I totally accept that it is because this recipe is so simple, tasty and actually good for you. Get the recipe.

2. Vegan Vanilla Buttercream
With the chocolate version taking out spot number 3, the vanilla smashes in at number 2 being it’s more versatile older brother. Get the recipe.
