That’s right, it’s time again to say goodbye to another year and take a look back over what you’ve been loving the most on Eight Forest Lane this year.

I always get excited when it’s time to do this round up. My favourite thing is seeing what you’ve been loving and there are always a few surprises which is nice! It also helps me when planning content for the new year as well as I know the types of recipes you’re loving.

This year we have a few old favourites returning which is always fun to see. So whether you’re looking for an easy lunch or dinner, or something deliciously sweet, this list has you covered.

Coming in at number one for the second year in a row is our nostalgic classic recipe for curried sausages made in the slow cooker. This year I gave this post some brand new photographs but the recipe has remained the same, still being a favourite in your kitchens! It humbles me a little that such a classic recipe remains so popular.

Rum Balls (Dairy Free)

While I really think we should start eating rum balls year round, these guys stay pretty dormant on my site until November-December when you all start getting in the festive spirit! They are a must make for me every Christmas as well so I am excited to see them sitting so high on the list!

I love seeing this side dish make the top 5 because it was a recipe that I had been making for years and reluctantly added to the blog more as a supplement to my butter chicken recipe as it’s a meal I love to eat. I am so happy that you enjoy this easy rice dish as much as I do.

Easy dinners definitely seemed to hit the spot in 2023 and this one should be on your usual rotation if it’s not already. Saucy and delicious but very quick to make.
